Product Description The HDMI 2-to-1 Video Switch is like a hub that lets you easily connect two HD devices into one HDMI input on your HDTV, allowing you to enjoy maximum audio video performance from your home entertainment system.
The Belkin PureAV HDMI 2-to-1 Video Switch allows you to connect to and switch among two high-definition, digital-video source devices through only one High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) or Digital Visual Interface (DVI) connection on your high-definition television (HDTV). Its quick adoption made HDMI one of the most common audio video connections available. It is used on high-definition components, such as HDTVs, up-converting DVD players, HD cable/satellite set-top boxes, entertainment computers, Blu-ray and HD-DVD players. This has created a bottleneck at the HDTV connection?with a common scenario featuring two HDMI/DVI sources to only one HDMI/DVI input. The PureAV HDMI 2-to-1 Video Switch lets you connect two sources into one HDMI input on your HDTV. Then, simply select from among the source devices either by pressing the input-selector button on the Switch itself, or by using the included remote control to directly select a source. The Switch offers an ideal way to connect digital displays such as HDTVs, plasma displays, DLP TVs, LCD TVs, and projectors. HDMI also provides an all-digital connection between such source devices as HDTVs, DVD players/recorders, HD-DVD and Blu-ray players, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Elite systems, digital cable/satellite set-top boxes, and AV receivers.

This convenient switch lets you connect and control up to two HD video components. View larger. | | The Belkin AV24503 offers: - Effortless switching between up to 2 HDMI components with single HDMI connection on your HDTV
- Maintaining pure digital connections to all your components
| | | If you have more than one high-definition audio-video component, such as a game console, cable set-up box or DVD player, chances are you're familiar with the frustrating "bottleneck effect" that's taking place at your high-definition television (HDTV) or receiver. Unless you have the very latest HDTV or high-definition receiver, you probably only have a single input for high-definition components. So each time you want to switch components, you literally have to get up to plug in the new component you want to use. Thanks to Belkin AV24503 HDMI 2-to-1 Video Switch, help has arrived. From the comfort and convenience of your chair, this switch lets you connect and control up to two HD video components through a single port on your TV or receiver. High-Definition Switching With HDMI, or High-Definition Multimedia Interface, fast becoming the standard among video components, HDMI has become one of the most common audio video connections available. XBox 360, Playstation 3, Blue-ray players, gaming computers, and more now require HDMI inputs for optimal user experiences. Unfortunately, most of the older -- and many newer -- HD televisions and receivers have only one HDMI input. Although you could spend $1,000 or more to upgrade your television or receiver to take care of this problem, the PureAV HDMI Interface 2-to-1 Video Switch can take care of it for you at a fraction of the cost. The PureAV HDMI Interface 2-to-1 Video Switch allows you to connect to and switch among two high-definition, digital-video source devices through only one HDMI, or Digital Visual Interface (DVI) connection on your high-definition television or receiver. (Although there are only HDMI connections on this device, you can use an HDMI Interface-to-DVI cable (sold separately) to connect and switch between DVI components.) This convenient, compact switch offers an ideal way to provide an all-digital connection between such source devices as HDTVs, DVD players/recorders, HD-DVD and Blu-ray players, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Elite systems, digital cable/satellite set-top boxes, and AV receivers. Simply select from among the devices either by pressing the input-selector button on the switch itself, or by using the included remote control to scroll to or directly select a source. Maintaining Highest Resolutions and Standards The PureAV 2-to-1 Video Switch maintains the highest HDMI single-link video resolution available and supports the full range of resolutions to optimize your viewing experience, including 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. The switch works with all HDCP-compliant devices, and it connects and switches both HDMI and HDMI Interface-to-DVI cables. The switch measures 3.15 x 0.78 x 1.74 inches (WxHxD) and weighs less than three ounces. In addition to the remote control, it comes with an IR remote control, and IR receiver extender. The switch is backed by a Belkin Lifetime Warranty. One HDMI to Two - January 6, 2009 W. Byington (Naperville, IL United States) Just a quick note to say that this switch works as advertised...it is well made, comes in a simple form factor, one that you must make sure you use the RF antenna. It hides behind your components, so no one knows its there...just don't lose the small remote (my daughter called it the Barbie remote)...overall, a good choice if you don't need three connections, which, until I found this one, seemed to be all that was out there.
Remote could have better buttons. December 15, 2008 D. Lynch (Jackson, MI USA) The buttons are not that cool can't tell if there pressed or not. but over all the performance is great. 1080i & p come through just fine.
Works really well November 24, 2008 Austin Carr (Alabama) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have only 1 DVI input into my TV and needed this for my Directv HD receiver and my blue ray. It works well and you can program it w/ your a logitech remote to switch to either input (Watch TV or Watch Movie). Good Buy. I would recommend it.
worked just for 1 day!!! October 3, 2008 Fernando Piva Chim (Brazil) I bought to conect my PS3 and my computer on my TV. Worked fine at first time that I tried. Next day I have tried again and did not work with the computer. Shows a black screen when I put on the computer signal and work fine with the playstation. I don't know the reason, but stop working. Buy somenthing else!
Perfect 2-to-1 HDMI switch for what I need (great price too!) August 18, 2008 William V. Garvey 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The switch is very small so you can easily hide it anywhere among your HDMI cables. I placed it behind my LCD TV and put the remote IR sensor just behind the glass of the TV stand. The remote control is the size of a credit card and consists of two chicklet-type buttons. It works just fine with the remote IR sensor. I'm using it to switch between my PS3 and DVD/VCR recorder. If there is any signal loss with this device I haven't noticed any. I looked at a similar switch a few months ago but couldn't justify getting it with the $100 price tag. I'm glad I waited and got this one for much less!
