| Customer Reviews: great product July 12, 2010 david They shipped the product faster than expected and it works better than expected.
HDMI converts to component video for my old projector and it feeds a 25 foot cable without any problem. It sends 1080i video to the projector. There is no image cutoff and the image is great. Great product for an old tv or projector.
Very easy to use! March 31, 2010 Lily Limtiaco (Orange County, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Easy to use. We have a 10 years old Big Screen TV with Component AV inputs. A Laptop with HDMI output. Able to connect them and watch videos on the internet. Just plug in and turn on TV and Laptop. Click with buttons to send signal from Laptop to TV. It works! Yes!
Didn't Work For Me March 15, 2010 Bill Hinds (Henderson, NV) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have an older Mitsubishi 1080i rear projection TV with only component inputs. I couldn't get a picture even when I matched my AVR ouput (set to 1080i) to the TV. It might work for some TV's but for older TV's (mine is 8 years old), it might not work. The company's return policy requires all packaging, packing slip, invoice, etc., so you can't throw anything away if you have to return it, which I didn't know until it was too late.
effective unit February 21, 2010 A. Todd Beaver (Rogers, AR) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This unit does the job. I have an HDMI switch in front of the unit and it seems to work well. I was concerned with the lack of two way communication causing trouble, but as long as the settings are correct in the players, I guess it works. This unit is a good stop gap for those with older sets that have 1080i capability, but no component outputs on the newer equipment. I have had to unplug the unit and plug it back in to get the picture right on a couple of occasions at power on.
