Needed a little "southern engineering" September 9, 2010 m0ngr31 This product works great!... if you don't want to use wifi that is. Apparently there isn't enough shielding on the adapter and it kills the wifi signal. I had to wrap it in tinfoil and rubber bands to get it to work right. Needless to say I spent the extra two dollars and got a better one.
Works Fine August 31, 2010 James Scott Jr. (Fort Wayne, Indiana) I think I bought four of these adapters and connected them to four different iMac and 24" displays. They worked without issue and were delivered in a reasonable time from my date of order.
Did not work but did learn to work around wifi issue that the Apple version also has August 28, 2010 Blake Nylund (Lynchburg, VA) Hi All,
I took a chance and bought this one in hope that it would work. The Apple connecter is not rated well either. I added this to my mac mini to run two monitors. No luck - no display at all. Not wanting to wait longer I went to Best Buy and forked over the $29 for the Apple adapter. They had one for $19.99 also but I was not going to make another trip so I bought the Apple version. Display looked great with the new adapter but WiFi on my mac mini slowed to a crawl. I found an old apple discussion that said if you moved your wifi to channel 1 the problem went away. Sure enough it did. If you get one of these that work you should try to that also.
wrong product August 24, 2010 laks As per the description, I thought this will fit into my mac book but the mini display port does not.
Great item for a great price. August 23, 2010 Landon Ellis (CA, USA) This adapter has worked flawlessly since I got it about a month ago. It's not quite as sleek as Apple's, but I'll take the visual downgrade for twenty bucks in savings. I've used it to connect my Macbook to a Cinema Display. No problems.
