Product Description The product description only applies to item sold by J&R Galaxies. This is the latest generation (with newer chips and more robust & exclusive firmware for J&R Galaxies) of HDMI 1x4 splitter by ViewHD; V1.3 Certified. * This is not a HDMI 1x4 splitter that is "support/compatible/compliant" to HDMI 1.3, this unit is HDMI 1.3; V1.3 signal in, V1.3 signal out; If you buy a V1.2 splitter that is support/compatible/compliant to V1.3, you will downgrade the entire system to V1.2 * The only way to identify a true V1.3 HDMI product is to check whether its max bandwidth can reach 10.2Gbps or video amplifier frequency can reach 340MHz. Older V1.2 specification data is 4.95Gbps or 165MHz * Compare the Spec, this is the best HDMI 1x4 on the market offered at this incrediable price. * Support video color format: deep color 30bit and 36bit; * Support HDMI 1.3 digital audio format: DTS-HD/Dolby-trueHD/LPCM7.1/DTS/Dolby-AC3/DSD; *Support XvYCc, if your enjoy deep color video, your source and display also need to support it; * Support Blue-Ray/HD-DVD player for 24fs film format; If you enjoy watching 24fs film, please make sure your display suppports 24fs, else it will display 50/60fs pictures; * Support CEC; * Support input cable distance up to 15m HDMI AWG26; * Support output cable distance up to 25m HDMI AWG26; * Support signal retiming; * No loss of quality; * Free lifetime technical support from the manufacture; * Need DC5V/0.8A power supply (included) * Operating Temperature Range: -15C to +55C; * Operating Humidity Range: up to 90 RH (No Condensation). * Weight: 405g; * Size: 11.5cm x 6.0cm x 2.4cm.

Amazing! June 26, 2010 David D. Brichler Jr. (Austin, TX United States) Just got the splitter in the mail this morning. I have been through two other models in the past year & a half, one just burned out, one could never correctly communicate with more than one output device at the same time, and both would dummy down video resolution and audio encoding beyond the lowest common denominator in the chain to the point of degradation of the signal. I am splitting the HDMI output from a Yamaha RX-V665 AV Receiver, feeding a Sony 32" 1080p LCD monitor at the Receiver site, and a Philips 22" 720p monitor across the hall in a 2nd room approx 20-feet away. Watching USA v Ghana in the World Cup -- ABC is broadcasting in 1080i/Dolby Dig 5.1 -- cable box is outputting 1080i/DD 5.1 to the receiver -- receiver says it is outputting 1080i/DD 5.1 at the HDMI out with both monitors on. Picture clarity, sharpness, color, on each TV is absolutely stunning. Turn one TV off, there is a brief out & recovery of the TV that is still on and it continues to look great when it recovers. Audio isn't really an issue in my setup since it is decoded before the splitter at the Receiver in the first room, and I have a separate TOSLINK run from the cable box to the second room's Receiver (TV spkrs off). Haven't tried my Blu-Ray player yet -- too busy digging cable TV right now. I'll add a comment when I do. Curious to see how it handles 24fps content which the Sony 32" is capable of, but the Philips 22" is not. Also, CEC is set to ON on both monitors, HDMI Control ON on the Receiver. No hiccups. Love this little unit so far! Great job!
Great!! June 9, 2010 F Stop (Manchester NH) I have only had this splitter up and running for a day or two, but it works great! Running 3 HD TV's, 65" Panny, 32" Vizio and a 19" Insignia. These are all located in my basement, main TV, behind the bar and on my desk. Using HDMI cables of 50', 25" and 6' with no issues. Just powered down my Comcast box plugged it all in and powered back up. Voila! Bought the cables on Amazon for a FRACTION of what you pay in Best Buy too. Highly recommended.
Split my Dish network box to 3 TV's all in HD April 24, 2010 Thomas R. Ellison (Chicago, IL USA) I did not want to pay any more fees for more DVR boxes for my satellite TV so I purchased the ViewHD 4 port splitter. The Dish network box plugs into the splitter and the splitter has 4 HDMI outputs to go to different TV's via HDMI cable. This works perfectly. All my TV's are in HD. Any TV can be on or off and it does not matter (unlike other brand "splitters"). This did not hurt sound or picture quality at all. I have a 60 ft HDMI run to one of my TV's and it still looks and works great. My only complaint is the red LED on the front of the splitter as the LED is WAY too bright. I had to hide the ViewHD splitter behind my DVD player because the light from the red LED was so distracting. The splitter also runs very hot which worries me a little - I hope the heat will not affect the long term reliability. So far no issues in the 2 months I've had it.
ViewHD HDMI Splitter causes more problems than it solves March 31, 2010 Running Ted (Santa Barbara, CA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
In our home we had a single COX cable box which had a single HDMI out connection. We just purchased a second high-def TV (we had a 32" Samsung LED TV and the new TV is a 55" Samsung). Both TVs have Samsung Blu-Ray players attached to them. We bought the ViewHD HDMI Splitter so we could get the hi-def signal using HDMI cables from the COX cable box to both TVs (we understood that both TVs would be viewing the same TV program).
The problem we encountered with the splitter is that when we turned on (or off) a Blu-Ray player in one room (or changed the input source to a TV in one room), the input source on the TV in the other room would also change.
We spent hours on the phone with the AT&T Samsung service reps and then with the actual Samsung reps and they couldn't come up with a fix. We had to stop using the splitter and lease a second COX cable box to resolve the problem.

Onkyo now seeing PCM 2 Channel from Directv March 5, 2010 J. Niski I have owned this switcher few a few weeks and at first was very happy with the performance. I'm using this for my Directv receiver and feeding the signal through the splitter to 3 flat screens. All seemed well with the video and audio until I noticed that my Onkyo Pro PR-SC886 was reporting only PCM 2 channel from my Directv receiver so I wasn't getting Dolby Digital surround. I bypassed the splitter and the Onkyo then reported Dolby Digital. Strange I thought... I thought maybe my splitter was defective, so I tried the splitter with the output of my OPPO Blu-ray and to my surprise; it was passing Dolby TruHD with no problem. So it would seem the splitter is working properly, but why isn't passing Dolby Digital from my Directv box? I tried swapping HDMI cables and it didn't make a difference. I'm baffled... I am going to try to contact the manufacturer to see if they have any ideas. Any input from anyone would be appreciated.
