Screen died July 25, 2010 Deepi (Oakland, CA) Setup was a little complicated, of course, but once it was set up it worked fine -- until the screen died. Most functionality is not available without the softkeys on the screen. Battery contacts have always been spotty, now it's completely dead -- even with new batteries it doesn't work at all. For the price, the performance is terrible.
Poorly built July 15, 2010 Anthony Ambrose Bullard (Atlanta, GA United States) The features of this remote are great. I will definitely buy a Logitech harmony remote in the future. However, this remote in particular is poorly designed.
1) The remote is almost symmetrical from top to bottom, so if you grab the remote upside-down, you can't really tell until you start pressing buttons and they're doing things you don't expect. The buttons all feel so similar, and the layout does not lend itself to being memorized (even after 7 months of ownership.) I find myself often having to press the "glow" button so I can see the buttons, and I even have to search for the glow button for a few seconds.
2) the directional pad on this remote is not good at all. You often have to press very deep, past the 'click' sound for the press to register. This gets very annoying VERY fast. it completely ruins any chances of navigating menus quickly.
I got this remote while it was on sale for around $70, and even at that relatively lower price, I'm not happy with the remote. I've used it for about 7 months now.
This remote has proven to me that Logitech Harmony remotes are a worthy investment. But it's also shown me that this model is not a good one.
Great functionality, but too fragile July 2, 2010 K. Hall (Austin, TX USA) First let me say that I love Harmony Remotes. They are great products in terms of functionality. Unfortunately the I've owned two 670's, both of which broke in the same way. The USB connector and IR light in the front became detached from the device. The thing is just not durable. Sure, it has been dropped or knocked off of the coffee table a couple of times, but the darn things are just too fragile. I believe the fact that I experienced the exact same issue on each of my remotes is proof of this fragility. I'm going to give Logitech one more try with the Harmony One. We'll see if the build quality is any better.

Worked well, easy to set up. Purchased in July, 2007, in March 2010 the screen went blank and I have not been able to fix it. Still can use remote to turn on/off the TV and cable box, but without the use of the screen I cannot record programs off the cable box, watch movies (DVD)or listen to music(CD). For the cost of the remote it should last more that two plus years.
Logitech Harmony Remote June 5, 2010 Petals (Loveland, CO) I received one for Christmas and I really enjoy it. At first it was hard to get used to the new buttons and what needed to be pushed but now, I love only needing one remote for all of my components. This one I just purchased was a replacement for my sister, she has two little kids and it didn't withstand the abuse. I guess it broke all appart and was not salvagable. So, I hope this one can last.
