The RCA DRC6289 features two individual eight-inch widescreen LCD displays. Two people can enjoy the same video or each screen can be used individually. Each unit has it's own headphone jack (headphones not included), individual controls, and individual remote control. The twin DVD players come with an attachment that makes it simple to secure the dual screens to the back of the front seat headrests. This keeps the screens from intruding on front-car space. Playback includes DVD, Audio CD and is CD-R, CD-RW compatible. The players are Dolby Digital compatible and soundtracks encoded in Dolby Digital can reproduce from one to 5.1 discrete channels of excellent quality audio. Includes One Year Parts & Labor Warranty.

I was looking for a reasonably priced Mobile DVD player for the car for long trips. We have 3 children ranging in age from 12 down to 4 yrs old, with different tastes in movies. This RCA twin mobile unit fit the bill perfectly! It comes with all of the wiring to: play one unit only or both screens; play the same movie on both screens or a different movie on each; hook-up the units at home on a TV, complete with AC power cords (i.e. 2 separate DVD players). Also, each unit has it's own remote control, color coded for it's own screen (one screen/remote is lime green, the other screen/remote is blue).
The units attach to the headrest in you vehicle quite easily with a velcro strap. To adjust the viewing angle (our littlest sits lower in the seat and needs the screen angled downward, while our oldest is adult sized and looks directly at the screen) I simply roll up a small cloth to place behind the screen and adjust the angle up or down.
When you view looking directly at the screen the quality of the picture is very good, and pretty much the same on both screens. If you looking at the screen from an angle, either from above/below or from the side the screen can appear a bit too bright but, there are brightness controls on each unit to adjust.
The only thing more which would make this an all-inclusive buy is if it came with a case of some sort to keep everything organized. But, otherwise this is an excellent deal!

Found this product after researching for the best one around, this one not only lets the kids play a different movie at the same time ,
it also works as a mini tv to watch movies in their bedrooms when not on the road! This is the first model I found that let you do that. I was prepared for the bickering between the kids as to what movie to watch or if one wanted to listen to music, instead they were really excited to start the trip from Az to Ar for their summer vacation with a system that gave them their own remote and the freedom of doing what THEY each wanted to do. Remember to purchase a set of earphones, you'll be glad you did!

i HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL OF THESE MOVIE PLAYERS FOR MY KIDS OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS. tHIS IS BY FAR THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD. eASY TO USE FOR EVEN MY 4 & 7 YEAR OLD KIDS. tHE BEST PART IS THE FACT THAT YOU CAN WATCH THE SAME MOVE TOGETHER, OR WATCH TWO MOVIES INDIVIDUALLY. NO SKIPPING, OR OTHER ISSUES. I WOULD SUGGEST THIS PRODUCT FOR ANYONE.

Product was as described. Like that you can watch different movies on the two systems or the same movie. Only complaint is that one DVD monitor is a little brighter that the other.
