5 out of 5 stars Beautiful player   May 3, 2010

I think everyone else has already said all the good stuff. One thing... it initially kept freezing while trying to play Avatar. I plugged in the ethernet, logged on and upgraded the firmware from version 1.1 to 1.6. Everything is smooth-running now.

3 out of 5 stars Can't play video files off SD card   April 24, 2010

Am I missing something on this? I had hoped to play video files off of the SD card, but it seems it only works for pictures and video recorded on a panasonic camera (so no commercial video files). The instructions are a bit confusing, with the file structure and so on, but I think this functionality doens't exist. Any other users disagree?

5 out of 5 stars Hooooray for a dialysis patient   February 3, 2010

I ordered this on saturday and just got it this morning. I spent all day charging the battery because (I am on dialysis 5 days a week) the unit i dialize in doesn't allow electronic toys to be plugged in there.

Well, i started buying disks in blu ray for home and then realized i couldn't watch them in the unit....ooops Since this seems to be the only player of blu rays that you can take with you (and for some reason it is a LOT heavier then most DVD players) I went ahead and researched the price and found that Amazon.com had the best one

Well, i just got done watching the new version of King Kong and the quality of the picture is 100% fabulous. the sound out of the tiny speaks leaves a lot to be desired, but i have the Bose qc over the ear headphones that blocks out the nurses at Dialysis

I was skepticle at the price but this was the best money i ever sent to Amazon

I have had a couple people ask me if this could be hooked up to a TV....YES, with a HDMI cable it hooks up to any HD TV

Also, After a lot of use, i have found a down point. There is no "pause" button that i can find on the device. There may be one on the remote, but i haven't used that yet

5 out of 5 stars Blue-ray Portable DVD Player   November 29, 2009

For the short time I have used this player it works great and has exceptional picture quality. It will be a matter of time to determine if this portable device last long as all my previous portable DVD player which break after 6 - 12 months. The sound quality is the only negative but better than standard portable DVD players.
