The LC-15S1U's stylish yet simple design, with speakers placed below the LCD screen, makes this television much narrower than side-speaker models, enabling the LC-15S1U to fit into many places throughout the home, all without sacrificing any features! The LC-15S1U utilizes Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel, which provides levels of high brightness (430 cd/m2), a 500: 1 contrast ratio, and wide viewing angles (170? x 170?). Additionally, the LC-15S1U is an EDTV monitor, which means it is compatible with 480p signals from progressive DVD players.The LC-15S1U includes an easel-style table stand that allows the TV to occupy an amazingly small footprint. In addition, the stand is easily removed for wall mounting applications. These models use the VESA 100mm standard mounting pattern and are compatible with a wide range of brackets including Sharp's AN-PSMARM and AN-PUCM.

Sharp's LC-15S1UB 15-inch LCD TV is a sleek, compact, high-performance flat-panel television from the AQUOS line of liquid crystal displays. The display uses Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/black TFT panel to give you extra brightness, a 500:1 contrast ratio, and superior 170-degree viewing angles, which means you can position the television anywhere--even near light sources--and still get clear, bright picture. The built-in tuner lets you plug your cable line directly into the television to watch up to 181 channels out of the box. The LC-15S1UB comes with an easel-style stand for the tabletop, or the stand can be removed and the set can be wall-mounted using most of Sharp's mounting brackets (not included). The two built-in speakers are positioned below the screen rather than on the side, which makes the television narrower than typical LCD TVs of the same size. The speakers each supply 2.1 watts of power, for a total power output of 4.2 watts. Also included is a full-function remote control (2 AAA batteries included). You get two composite-video inputs for convenient hookup to your favorite gaming console or camcorder. There are also two rear S-video inputs and one component-video input. The Sharp Aquos TV has great picture quality. I have mine sitting next to a window and the light coming in does not produce a glare on the screen. I am so pleased that I am looking for a larger model. The only complaint I have, thus only 4 stars, is that the speaker watt size is not sufficient for this model.
